Melrose Style Guide

Graduations, ends of semesters, weddings, and more are joint this time of year. With this mix of events, there's always a call for celebration, and everyone wants to get excited and let loose in their way. For this week's blog, My Melrose has curated some ladies' heels for various occasions for different styles, tastes, and personalities.

When the average person thinks about Mother's Day, we picture a biological mom that brought us into the world; but that's not exactly everyone's reality. Think about specific circumstances; relatives or non-blood families might adopt some; some of us may have never had a mother due to a passing or an estranged relationship. What we do have in our lives are women who raised us. These women could be our grandmas, aunts, sisters, or family that chose us; a more accurate outlook and mantra to follow regarding family is that family is what we make it. This Mother's Day, honor your mom or the female role models who were there to act as a mother for you. We at My Melrose find astrology fun and exciting, so we wanted to find a way to integrate it into our content. So this week, we bring you part one of shoes inspired by zodiac signs. 

Refer back to a small piece of our post on trending fashion colors for spring/summer 2023, where we discuss Pantone's color of the year, Viva Magenta 18-1750, and the mantra behind it; the encouragement of exploration and self-expression. This week, we're featuring more sophisticated looks to showcase more refined outfits that are professional, elevated, and stylish for a night out. So explore your femininity and power and be inspired by the four polished, dressed-up looks to keep you on trend for spring with varieties of tops for women, pants, and ladies' shoes, specifically heels. 

The spring season calls for vibrant colors as temperatures gradually rise, bringing back life to the trees and their green leaves and awakening the bloom of various flowers. Fuchsia is our featured color in your local My Melrose and Melrose Family Fashions stores. Some might find wearing this vivid pinkish-purplish-red color challenging, but have no fear; we will show you various ways to wear this exquisite color throughout spring. This week, we are showcasing two different casual outfits that are fabulous in fuchsia. 

Essential fashion items don't have to be dressed in a drab and boring way, despite their affordability and versatility. For example, casually wear a simple, solid-colored shirt with denim or linen and accessorize with a belt, some jewelry, and a contrasting handbag.
